In case you want to know who makes all those products.... the woman behind Jeez is me, Janine!

During and after my studies I worked in the commercial sector. I started in the Sales department, but soon switched to the Purchasing department. After the birth of my first child, I moved on to Quality Management. I learned a lot and analyzed and wrote so well... I started working as a policy officer. Finally - and having a second child - I worked as a consultant at a small consultancy firm within the healthcare sector. At the beginning of 2008, husband Marc & I also became partners in our own management consultancy firm.

After our 3rd child was born at the end of 2009, I wasn't sure if I wanted to continie the consultancy work. That question alone makes it clear that you have lost your drive a bit. But then... what did I want? That remained a big question mark for a long time, until a year or two ago I came across an image of a large merino wool throw on Pinterest. I thought it was beautiful and for me - who was not known for her creative genes - also a challenge to make it.

Put on the naughty shoes, ordered wool and..... the making was great fun! When I also discovered chunky cotton, saw beautiful pillows ánd started coming up with new patterns myself,  I couldn't stop anymore. After a lot of positive reactions from friends & acquaintances (many have a pillow of mine on their couch :-)) someone asked me why I wasn't going to sell my products.... and suddenly the penny dropped: this was it, this is what I want to do!

And now? I have a beautiful webshop filled with throws, cushions and "upcycled" pots. Every product I make makes me happy. And the icing on the cake? The thought that someone else - you?!- will soon be just as happy as I am with what I have made!
